What a dreadful burden it is to be born a Jew, to think and be indoctrinated from birth to think you’re chosen and, by extension, perhaps that makes you special.

The fences which surround Israel are under constant surveillance yet we’re led to believe the story of many hours of rampage by Hamas before the military took notice. If something doesn’t make sense then it’s worth looking deeper.
Zionism is blamed by those who would separate Judaism from Zionism - such as me until recently - but regardless of the variety of sects within Judaism the implicit belief of being chosen is the bedrock of that religion.

I’m forced to question the nature of the Jewish god and look to his attributes and of how the land was given to the Jews and upon which much of their religion rests.

Christ – in my understanding - did not come to be worshipped, made clear that a priesthood isn’t needed to commune with the real God of whose nature I don’t know but whose existence is revealed.

A peace deal in Gaza? None of the destruction of Palestian people and property could have happened without the absurd American policy of ‘Israel First’ as is amply evidenced by the craven way in which American lawmakers debase themselves on Israel’s behalf.
Reality is a great deal more than the tribal machinations of a lost people.
A peace deal requires fine detail to be agreed and for trust to prevail.
‘By their fruits you shall know them.’ Israel is an untrustworthy partner.
