1984 - 2019 ... not a memorial

Winston sat at his desk rewriting history. He was very good at his job and questioned nothing as a steady stream of requests, corrections, changes and deletions came his way and were promptly and seamlessly inserted into the current version of history - as approved by the Party.

He wasn’t alone and if he looked up from his work, which he seldom did, it was to see rows of men and women diligently performing similar tasks. History is, after all, written by the victors and the Ministry of Truth is both vigilant and thorough.

2+2=5 was the proposition Winston struggled to accept and if I were that Winston then 9/11 is my equivalent ‘stumbling block.’

Towers just don’t fall down into their own footprint at close to free fall speed without either the laws of Physics being broken or it being a controlled demolition. It’s an easy ‘either or’ situation or should be. The implications are unpalatable but that’s where the facts lead. I don’t accept impossibilities with a shrug and a “So what!’

I would love to be proved wrong about 9/11 … it was hideous enough without further layers of intrigue.

In ‘Alice through the looking glass’ Alice meets the White Queen who proposes various absurd ideas until this exchange regarding their respective ages occurs. Alice can’t believe that the Queen is over one hundred years old.

“Can’t you?” said the Queen in a pitying tone, ”Try again. Draw a long breath and close your eyes.”

Alice laughed. “There's no use trying,” she said. “One can't believe impossible things.”

“I daresay you haven't had much practice,” said the Queen. “When I was your age, I always did it for half-an-hour a day. Why, sometimes I've believed as many as six impossible things before breakfast …”

I would love to believe that money can be printed out of thin air, still retain value AND be sustainable but it’s impossible isn’t it?

That scientists were somehow immune to the pressures of everyday life in which mortgages must be paid. The tobacco industry had scientists proving no negative health effects … the 5G beneficiaries have done no such studies and avoid the issue.

I’m not sure that I’ve much to say that’s not already said. I’m quite prepared to be proved wrong about the issues which continue to concern me but which are as seen by most as … ‘conspiracy writ large.’

If it weren’t for conspiracy, whistle blowers wouldn’t exist or perhaps they would but only in reference to musicians and cheerful people.

The birds do most of the whistling here.
