What if just one aspect of reality were to change. It could be anything that bubbles away under the surface...... perhaps positive to our eyes but maybe not.
That’s what drew me to science fiction at an early age and rather than some ‘Star Wars’ scenario to draw me in, it was the idea that a small change within the existing order could have profound effect on the reality that we accept as ‘natural.’
Life that changes in an instant. Who does that happen to and under what circumstance?
It’s happened to me but this isn’t the place - and it didn’t automatically make me a ‘better’ human being.
How to prepare for anything which alters our view of life - from an electric universe - on the physical level - and utterly at odds with mainstream science, in much the same way that Galileo was derided by the establishment of the day - to a nanotube technology which could revolutionise and change our dependence upon a power grid..
A somewhat catastrophic genesis to our solar system does change our perception of reality.... but ...... ‘Still got to catch the bus to work’ ..... as my departed dad would drily remark.
Having gone down a rabbit hole and come back out with another understanding, do I just become just another ‘recorder’ of the events shaping this world?
Hope not.
Change - ‘In the twinkling of an eye.’ - captures my imagination and gives hope. I don’t know what my part in this coming world will be - the variables are immense - but each of us is a ‘butterfly wing’ just by continuing to exist, continuing to be motivated by love ........ or if you can’t manage that - call it compassion.
How to prepare? Anything is possible.
