......apart from damaged nerves, all is well....

Leaping a fence and twisting on my elbow wasn't a good idea. Nerves are still tingling three months later....swollen nerve says the doctor. My neighbour comments on how still the early mornings have been. It’s the last weekend of a summer which hasn’t been here as yet. A beautiful day and the orb spiders - encouraged by the long wet - are constantly busy building exquisite webs. The Magnolia is sending out the odd late flowers and the Canna lilies, resplendent in orange, yellows and reds, stand higher than a man. Floods, fires and revolution are not present in this part of the world - not today anyway.....butterflies and brilliant coloured birds are more common. There is only so much focus I can afford to give to the underlying worldwide conditions. For balance sake, I draw a quieter breath. Spending time recording and then listening gives me the lyrics of these recent songs almost as a mantra in my heart and head. It’s a very pleasant spot in which to take a break. I’ll give a few treeferns a haircut and go to work.
