the Great Dividing Range is truly vast. Fold after fold of creased and crumpled mountain peaks. Hundreds of kilometres in width and thousands more in length.
Off to replace some tires and then to work.
Unfortunately my musical pause has allowed me to fall through the cracks regarding Darling Harbour where I won't now be playing this year.
Glancing down over a precipice to where I cant see the valley below. Glancing up into the mist to witness what I took to be a stream but - no - and wow - huge stone slabs are littered and 'placed' in such a way as to 'be' a wide frozen stream of stone.
I've travelled to my friend's farm along the coastal route for decades.
The alternative is along and through the inland mountainous route. About 160 kilometres more in distance with the last 90 or so on dirt roads.
The coastal road is busy and 'sociable'. The other is 'lonely' and solemnly beautiful.
I'm not sure I'm back yet.
