So much rain that the colour is washed from the flowering plants. A brief hour or two of sun and we’re back to cloud.
The extremes in the weather are mirrored in the extremes of behaviour exhibited by angry populations around the planet.
Living in the Blue Mountains, on the eastern side of Australia, gives an awareness of bush fires which allows for no joy when fires threaten ANY country.
The Wrath of God is a concept which doesn’t ‘sit’ at all with a loving God........ let’s face it...... just mild displeasure would be enough to silence the human voices calling out for vengeance if God were to actually manifest.
Israel suffers bush fires and voices are heard trumpeting that this is God’s vengeance.
Ho hum ......apart from Sodom and Gomorrah and the odd burning bush, no-one has seriously suggested that God EVER manifests in such a manner....... well, it HAS been suggested and it’s ... rubbish.
That’s the problem. Natural events are hijacked by those with an agenda.
Live through a bush fire and then attempt to suggest that ‘God dun it.’
You won’t. Too many innocents are injured for such a moronic suggestion to make sense.
Time being a forth dimension suggests that every moment that passes is not gone like a puff of smoke but rather, can be accessed by an entity living outside of time.
We don’t need a Book of Judgement and neither would a Deity. It’s all written in every thought and action by each of us - for ‘all time’.
Nothing is ever lost.
That’s a far more sobering thought than the ‘Goodies and baddies’, heaven ‘n hell, reward or punishment stupidity which masquerades as religious thought.
“Vengeance is mine, sayeth the Lord.”
Perhaps that’s because we’re too quick to be cruel for God’s taste.
